Our mission
'To provide all children and young people the opportunity to access school uniform and reduce clothing waste by working in partnership with the entire community’
Rubery Swop Shop first started providing free preloved school uniform to families in 2018, all from a home in Rubery. Orders were placed online and our volunteers delivered them to families.
In 2020, our shop in Rubery opened and families were able to access our services in person to collect uniform orders.
In 2022, we became a registered charity to help us to continue to develop.
Our service is run exclusively by volunteers.
In 2026, we've experienced amazing demand for gently used uniforms from families - it wonderful to see! However, since we have just a handful of volunteers available during our opening hours, online orders can sometimes take a while to process. If you need your uniform quickly, we'd suggest popping in to the shop in person to find what you're looking for.
